The Opportunity

We are seeking a Tendering & Sales Specialist to support our sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. You will establish and maintain effective customer relationships to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.

This opportunity can be based in Europe or the United Kingdom, offering flexible working and a great working culture.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • You will take the lead and ownership of assigned tenders, preparing and ensuring timely and complete technical and commercial tender submissions to customers and leading technical and commercial negotiations with customers.
  • You will identify potential risks in bids, quotations, and estimates, and conduct risk reviews with an interdisciplinary supporting team.
  • You will collect and collate all necessary information to prepare proposals, including technical and cost elements.
  • You will identify potential vendors for equipment and materials required in projects, technically and commercially evaluating supplier offers, and collaborating with Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors.
  • You will integrate supplier offers, evaluate risks, and ensure completeness of tenders in multi-national and multi-discipline setups.
  • You will collect and archive documentation regarding orders and record assumptions and decisions taken during the development process.
  • You will regularly report the status of bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools and collect and analyze reasons for tenders being lost and won.
Your Background
  • You hold a degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • You have 10 years of proven professional experience in sales and tendering in the industrial sector, preferably in system integration and/or project environments.
  • You have a proven track record in leading tenders in international large project power system business.
  • Knowledge of substations and power supply systems is a plus.
  • You are proactive and result-driven, able to work with cross-functional and cross-border teams, and cope with a flexible-load environment.
  • You are able to travel approximately 20%.
  • You are fluent in English, with any other languages beneficial.
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
