About the Role

Evisort Engineering is expanding, and we are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer (Full Stack) to join our team. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled engineers, collaborating closely with Product and Design partners, to maintain and expand our contract management offerings. Your expertise will help deliver AI solutions at scale, transforming how companies manage their contracts and providing value to legal departments and business professionals worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with engineering, data science, product management, and design teams to build on the vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Encourage a culture of iteration and innovation, understanding both business domain and engineering practices to guide decisions.
  • Mentor teammates through design and code reviews, technical guidance, and coaching.
  • Own several functional areas of our platform, embracing a "you build it, you run it" philosophy.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and a Python web framework (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including performance optimization and scaling.
  • Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Advanced understanding of modern software development practices (DevOps, automated testing, observability).
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch.

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed systems and related tradeoffs.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Java and Typescript is a plus.
  • Familiarity with non-relational databases like DynamoDB and Redis is a plus.
  • Proven success working in agile, cross-functional teams in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal professionals and diverse teams.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and problem-solving through reasoning and research.
