The Company:

One of Ireland's leading accountancy, tax, advisory and consulting organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the preparation, review, and timely submission of VAT, Intrastat, and other indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring full compliance with Irish and EU regulations.
  • Provide expert advice to the business on indirect tax matters, including VAT implications for domestic and international transactions, supply chain operations, and new business initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate indirect tax risks by implementing robust controls and streamlining processes. Lead initiatives to enhance compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in reporting systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for indirect tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence with the Irish Revenue Commissioners and other tax authorities. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams.
  • Manage and mentor junior tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence, while ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to deadlines.

Your Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, with a strong technical foundation and a proven track record in indirect tax, VAT compliance, and advisory.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in indirect tax.
  • Strong knowledge of indirect tax legislation, including experience in managing complex VAT reporting, cross-border transactions, and implementing process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate complex tax matters effectively to internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities.
