Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our clients to ensure all manufacturing assets are maintained in a healthy state to avoid production downtime. You will collaborate with the senior management team to identify areas of improvement. The work will be based onsite in Munster.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plant and asset installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, replacement of faulty items, adjustment, and servicing
  • Integration of computer, electronic and programmable control systems with mechanical/hydraulic, pneumatic systems e.g., PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), CNC (Computer Numerical Control), Robots and CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)
  • Interpreting technical drawings and diagrams
  • Condition monitoring using modern maintenance techniques
  • Management of the documentation and filing of detailed information, test certificates and report writing of completed repairs
  • Acting as an integral link in the communication process between our Client and the Company
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to quality management systems
  • An awareness of health and safety and good housekeeping is essential as well as attention to detail

This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to pharmaceutical, life sciences, data centre, semi-conductor, construction, and other sectors. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.

Skills and Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum (Degree in Applied Physics & Instrumentation) or Solas advanced Craft Certification to QQI Level 6, or equivalent. (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument)
  • Demonstrable levels of technical knowledge with practical application
  • A high degree of computer literacy and familiarity with CMMS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
