Job Description:

Join a leading bakery and convenience foods production facility in West Dublin, focusing on quality, safety, and sustainability. We are seeking a fully qualified Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of building systems, utilities, and services in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location: West Dublin, Ireland

Reporting To: Facilities Manager

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Pattern: Days with occasional flexibility for evening/weekend cover

About the Company: A state-of-the-art bakery focused on food innovation, serving both domestic and international markets.

Purpose of the Role: Ensure efficient operation of building systems and utilities to support production, requiring hands-on mechanical skills and experience in manufacturing or food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance on mechanical and utility systems (boilers, HVAC, pumps, etc.)
  • Support facility infrastructure including water treatment, waste management, and fire systems
  • Respond to breakdowns and resolve issues promptly
  • Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Assist with installation and upgrades of equipment
  • Collaborate with teams to support operations and improvements
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records using CMMS
  • Participate in energy and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NFQ Level 6 in Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Minimum 3 years in facilities or maintenance in manufacturing or food sector
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Understanding of safety, food safety, and environmental standards
  • Experience with BMS, HVAC controls, or CMMS advantageous
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or in teams
  • Flexibility for occasional shifts or weekends
  • Additional certifications in refrigeration, plumbing, electrical beneficial
  • Experience with Lean or TPM principles

Competitive salary plus full shift allowance, paid even on day shifts.
