Wayflyer is expanding to provide funding to more businesses through a modern data-driven approach. You will be at the heart of shaping insights that drive strategic decisions across new frontiers, leading a data team to transform complex data into actionable intelligence.

• Drive impact by delivering data-driven insights to key business areas such as risk assessment, product development, customer growth, and operational efficiency to support expansion.
• Own and scale the modern data stack (centered on Snowflake and dbt) to grow analytics capabilities with the company.
• Lead and mentor a team of Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts (6+ team members), fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Define and execute the analytics roadmap, aligning with Wayflyer's core objectives and advising leadership.
• Set team roles, responsibilities, and career paths; manage priorities and performance within the data function.
• Develop, own, and execute the strategic roadmap for data analytics and business intelligence, prioritising high-value initiatives.
• Oversee the analytics platform architecture, development, and maintenance, ensuring data quality, governance, scalability, and performance (Snowflake Data Warehouse and dbt transformations).
• Partner with stakeholders across Product, Risk, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to translate needs into analytical requirements and deliver insights via reports, dashboards, and analyses.
• Champion best practices in analytics engineering, data modelling, data governance, testing, and documentation to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Act as a data evangelist across the company, communicating complex findings and recommendations to functional leaders and executives.

• Experience: 6+ years in data analytics, BI, or analytics engineering, with at least 2+ years leading analytical teams.
• Leadership: Proven ability to mentor, motivate, and guide technical teams; experience setting direction and managing priorities.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Deep proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt for data modelling and transformation pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.).
• Strategic & Business Acumen: Ability to translate business challenges into data problems and deliver analytical solutions and recommendations.
• Collaboration: Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with both technical and non-technical partners.
• Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including ability to convey complex concepts to senior leadership.
• Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Bonus Points:
  • Experience in FinTech or eCommerce.
  • Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data analysis.
  • Data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster).
  • Data quality monitoring and alerting experience.
