Maintenance Assistant - Painter with The Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel, Facilities Department. This is a superb opportunity to join the hotel team.
Responsibilities- To ensure that all facilities of the hotel are maintained to the highest standard and the areas are painted regularly.
- To carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance).
- Provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special events; be knowledgeable about the introduction of products.
- Carry out cleaning as required.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure that guest requests are attended to efficiently.
- Rectify maintenance issues within the hotel on a daily basis.
- Monitor and control costs in all areas, including energy saving.
- Carry out regular hotel inspections to identify maintenance requirements.
- Ensure guest safety by eliminating potential risks and hazards; check and replace used fire extinguishers immediately.
- Monitor all purchasing in maintenance in line with the hotel purchasing policy.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees and visitors.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in line with trained instructions and maintained in a clean condition; store hazardous substances per training; wear protective clothing as per safety procedures.
- Prioritise and complete all jobs according to departmental standards and within the appropriate timeframe; inform guests and relevant managers if not possible.
- Ensure that all work complies with safety standards.
- Maintain stocks to the required level and ensure bedrooms are checked on a rota basis with maintenance issues corrected.
- Assist the Facilities Manager with the Preventative Maintenance program in the hotel.
- Ensure that public areas are checked daily and maintenance problems are corrected in a timely fashion.

- Minimum 2 years experience.
