About Your New Job as a Production Supervisor:

  • Supervise Production Operatives: Ensure efficient and timely production operations.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Liaise with planning, engineering, maintenance, and quality to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage Workflow: Keep management informed of schedule status, priorities, and issues.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee queries and issues through company policies and procedures.
  • Team Development: Plan and coordinate training, provide coaching, and maintain training records.
  • Performance Management: Assess performance, provide feedback, and conduct formal reviews.
  • Health and Safety: Complete health and safety checks and report to the H&S Officer.
  • KPI Achievement: Ensure all production KPIs are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in projects to improve productivity.
  • Standard Procedures: Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • 6-S Implementation: Maintain required standards in production areas.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as determined by the Operations Manager.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
  • ESG Support: Support the Environmental, Social, and Governance function within the business.

What Skills You Need for Production Supervisor role:

  • NFQ level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • 4-5 years' experience in Production Supervisory roles.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage people effectively.
  • Strong people management skills, including handling disciplinary and performance meetings.
  • Knowledge of electronics/cable assembly is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to set targets and manage team performance.
  • Flexibility and capability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, computer, and technical skills.
  • ERP production experience is desirable.
  • Strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
