SUMMARYWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Linux System Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux-based systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our servers and supporting environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage and maintain Linux-based servers and services.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.
- Automate system tasks and deployments.
- Implement and enforce security policies.
- Perform regular system updates, patching, and backups.
- Respond to and resolve system incidents and alerts.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Training- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC) are highly desirable.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration for mid-level roles.
- Proven experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Debian, CentOS, RHEL).
- Strong command-line and shell scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl).
- Experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with server monitoring tools (e.g., OpenNMS, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, NFS).
- Experience managing web servers (Apache, Nginx) and database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Understanding of system security practices and tools (firewalls, SELinux, iptables).
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization (e.g., KVM, Docker).
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration for mid-level roles.
