The School Food Company has been in operation since 2011 and provides healthy lunch options for both Primary and Secondary school students. Our menu is prepared fresh onsite every day. The ethos of the Company is about healthy eating.

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Supervisor and full-time/part-time Catering Assistants at Scoil Mhuire gan Smal, Blarney, Co. Cork.

This position will commence at the end of August and operates around the Secondary school calendar.

Our employees are welcomed as part of the school community. They are off during break periods: midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid). This may appeal to people with school-going children. We do not offer fixed working days; flexibility is essential. The position is subject to Garda Vetting.

The Catering Supervisor role is approximately 25-28 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts from around 8.00am to 2.30pm.

The full-time Catering Assistant role is approximately 25-28 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The part-time Catering Assistant role is approximately 10-15 hours per week, operating on a 2-day/3-day rotation.

The roles involve preparing various foods such as rolls, wraps, ciabattas, pasta, and rice dishes, serving small breaks, lunch, and cleaning. It is a fast-paced and busy environment.

Additional duties for the Supervisor include rostering, ordering from food service providers, reporting, and daily cash lodgements to the post office.

Previous catering experience, knowledge of HACCP, and supervisory experience are advantageous.
