Compensation and Work Schedule- Rate of pay: €13.50 per hour for the first 20 training shifts; €14.80 - €16.56 per hour thereafter, plus performance-related pay.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday. Both part-time and full-time positions available.
The role involves informing, inspiring, and recruiting members of the public through door-to-door fundraising to support Oxfam Ireland's initiatives.
Job PurposeDirect Dialogue fundraising is crucial for helping Oxfam Ireland meet its fundraising targets and maximize benefits for those in need.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit donors door-to-door to support Oxfam Ireland through regular donations via direct debit;
- Engage and inform the Irish public about Oxfam Ireland's work;
- Represent Oxfam Ireland professionally, courteously, and in accordance with the fundraising code of conduct.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong spoken English;
- A passion for Oxfam Ireland's mission; knowledge of emergency and developmental aid issues is a plus but not essential;
- Outgoing personality, enjoy public interaction, and comfortable working outdoors in a team;
- Experience in direct dialogue fundraising is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training is provided;
- Access to an internet-enabled phone for banking procedures;
- A full, clean driving license is beneficial but not required.
