Professionally Qualified Social Worker

We are currently recruiting a Professionally Qualified Social Worker (PQSW) to join the Primary Care Team with our client based in South Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary setting, delivering high-quality, person-centred social work services to adults, children, and families in the local community.

Key Responsibilities of the Professionally Qualified Social Worker:

  • Deliver a range of social work interventions as part of a primary care service.
  • Complete assessments and develop care/support plans tailored to individual client needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other primary care professionals (including PHNs, OTs, PTs, SLTs, and psychology).
  • Provide support in areas such as parenting, family stress, mental health, safeguarding, and housing/homelessness.
  • Participate in case reviews, interagency meetings, and service planning.

Requirements for the Professionally Qualified Social Worker:

  • A recognised qualification in Social Work and current registration with CORU.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and best practices in social work.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Full clean driver's licence and access to own transport may be required.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a primary care or community-based setting.
  • Experience in child protection, family support, or adult safeguarding.
