Your new company
Your new company is a government office that delivers public services. Such services include work on drainage schemes and critical infrastructure, managing government properties and heritage services. It is overseen by the Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.
In addition to maintaining arterial drainage schemes, the organisation also constructs flood defence schemes using a direct managed works model. These schemes are consented under either the Planning and Development Act or the Arterial Drainage Act.Your new role
Your new role is on behalf of a Public Sector Organisation and is for an initial period of 6–12 months. This is an initial contract assignment due to public sector headcount restrictions (this is common place within a public or semi-state body). This role has the opportunity for further duration extensions or permanency in time. It is a common way in which we support this organisation.This role is based in Trim in Co Meath and is a 40-hour-per-week position.
In-Dept Details of the Role AND Responsibilities

What you'll need to succeed
A Level 7 Qualification (National Framework of Qualifications), in Occupational Health and Safety, is an essential minimum requirement. A Level 8 Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable (or equivalent).
No less than 3 years of satisfactory experience of construction work and knowledge of construction methods, site management and construction design process.

It would be desirable if candidates had successfully completed courses such as:-IOSH Safety Health & Environment for Construction Site Managers or similar;
What you'll get in return
In return for the above, you will work with a government-funded, public sector organisation that is imperative to the works they carry out on behalf of the state, and you will contribute to this work.
You will work on an initial hourly paid basis, typically being paid 40–45 hours each week. This is then likely to transition into a direct position with the Public Body (if you can express your skill-set and value).
It is an easier way in the door of an organisation that is typically difficult to get in with.
You will be paid an hourly rate (either PAYE or through a Limited Company). This dictates rates and the previous comes with 4 weeks holidays and all paid bank holidays.
The hourly rate depends on your experience level but is in the bracket of €30 per hour to €50 per hour.
You will also only work outside of the mentioned location, and you will also be eligible for Civil Service Mileage.
You will have great flexibility and a sense of achievement in your role due to the work being conducted.
This can lead to a job for life for the right person.
