Job Description:Founded in 1957, Mulligans Pharmacy is a family-run company that works within the retail pharmacy industry. With over 18 locations throughout the southeast region of Ireland, we currently have more than 260 employees across Waterford, Kilkenny, and Tipperary. Mulligans Pharmacy takes great pride in being a customer-focused, community-based organisation.We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller in our head office at South Parade, Waterford City. The role offers 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday onsite.

Position Overview:The Group Financial Controller will oversee the finance function, ensuring compliance, managing budgeting and forecasting, and leading the finance team. This role requires strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and annual compliance matters (including financial statement audit process and taxation compliance) ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, revenue commissioners, and auditors.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and performance analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in retail or healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations in Ireland and proven experience in budgeting and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
