Job Description:

We are currently seeking Healthcare Assistants.

Our Healthcare Assistants work as part of our care team, delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our residents.

Locations:

Killeline Care Centre, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supporting nursing staff and the care team in providing quality care tailored to residents' needs
  • Getting to know residents' interests and needs, providing attention, support, and companionship
  • Promoting residents' mobility, supervising and assisting to maintain and improve mobility where possible
  • Enabling and assisting residents with personal appearance and hygiene needs while respecting their dignity
  • Assisting residents with eating and drinking to ensure physical comfort
  • Participating in, organizing, and conducting social activities
  • Maintaining effective communication with residents' families and staff to foster good relationships
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness within the home
  • Contributing to health and safety standards in the home
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Nurse in Charge and management

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
