Procurement Specialist

Fortis Recruitment are currently partnering with a leading international energy company to recruit a Procurement Specialist for their Irish operations.

This is a newly created role, reporting to the Supply Manager, and represents a rare opportunity to join and shape a growing procurement function.

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead end-to-end procurement processes including market research, RFIs/RFPs, evaluations and supplier negotiations
  2. Negotiate commercial terms (non-legal) and manage contract lifecycles from tender to performance review
  3. Engage with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare sourcing documentation
  4. Build vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance
  5. Support procurement of both goods and services (e.g. transportation, maintenance, safety equipment)
  6. Educate internal departments on procurement processes and ensure procedural compliance
  7. Collaborate with colleagues in Dublin and Cork

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years' experience in procurement
  2. Experience negotiating supplier contracts and commercial terms
  3. Background in retail or construction procurement a distinct advantage
  4. Comfortable working cross-functionally and engaging internal stakeholders
  5. Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
  6. Degree in Business, Procurement or related discipline. Procurement certifications desirable
