Job Title: Commercial Finance Manager

Sector: Construction

Location: Dublin 12 (On-site)

Salary: €90,000 plus bonus and benefits

Our client is a well-established infrastructure solutions company with operations across Ireland and internationally. They provide services across multiple construction sectors. The company operates from its head office in Dublin 12 and is known for its entrepreneurial culture and best-in-class systems.

This role will suit a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and a passion for working closely with operational teams. Candidates should have:

• A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and 4+ years' post-qualification experience.
• Commercial or project accounting experience within industry.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
• Construction sector experience is a strong advantage.
• Must be comfortable working on site daily in a dynamic environment.

Role and Reporting Lines

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a key role within the Group Finance function, partnering with commercial teams across multiple business units. Responsibilities include:

• Project Analysis – Regularly assess project performance and collaborate with QS and Commercial teams.
• Reporting & Forecasting – Deliver detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and monthly project performance reviews.
• Business Partnering – Develop strong internal relationships to understand cost/revenue drivers and influence decision-making.
• ERP & Process Improvement – Contribute to streamlining ERP usage and improve transparency in productivity and financial reporting.
• Working Capital – Monitor and manage aged debtors and WIP with focus on cash flow optimisation.
• Operational Engagement – Be present on site to gather insights, ensure accuracy in reporting, and advise on financial performance.
• Financial Control Support – Assist in reconciling project-level balance sheet positions in collaboration with the financial control team.
• Compliance – Maintain adherence to health and safety standards in all financial operations.
