Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor Telecom company, is seeking a Senior Embedded Security Software Engineer for a role based in Cork City, Ireland.

The candidate is required to be onsite four days per week.

Role:

You will design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs to launch cutting-edge, world-class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and gather information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply security knowledge and experience to achieve engineering business objectives.
  • Develop new hardware and software security features and update existing products to ensure security throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Perform security assessments, including vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Design security architectures for products and sub-systems, collaborating with teams to implement them.
  • Identify remediation strategies for security risks, respond to security incidents, and assist customers with security-related issues.
  • Develop and deploy training and tools to promote secure product development.
Experience:
  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with programming languages such as C, ARM, Python, Kernel development, etc.
  • At least 2 years of security engineering experience or related work experience.
