We are seeking applications for the position of Financial Accountant. This is an ideal role for a qualified or newly qualified applicant looking to join a fast paced and dynamic environment willing to demonstrate their ability and skillset within the Finance Department.
This will include the following on a daily basis:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- All monthly journals and transactions processed on accounting software.
- Responsible for Balance Sheet Control Account Reconciliations.
- Trend analysis of key cost drivers and make recommendations for improvement.
- Variance analysis for all costs between actual and budget and reporting on same.
- Monitor and report on Capital Expenditure budgets.
- Continuous review and reporting of organisation adherence to finance internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Liaise and support Department Heads with their budget and continuing financial performance.
- Conduct ad hoc financial appraisals as required with clear outcomes identified.
- Ensure GDPR compliance within the Finance Department.
- Assist in annual audit preparation and reporting.
- Involvement in design, testing and roll-out of new systems.
Qualification:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
Experience:
- Experience in a healthcare finance discipline desirable but not essential.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under own initiative.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work to and achieve time critical deadlines.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills.
- Excellent Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
