Quinn Downes Installation (QDI) is a leading national provider of Mechanical Service Installations to high-profile clients across Ireland. We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Site Manager to join our management team for a Healthcare project in Galway (Merlin Park).

Below is an outline of the main responsibilities of the role:

  1. Attend the Project Handover meeting with the Contracts Manager, Project Manager, and Engineer to receive the project package and develop QEHS documents.
  2. Set up the Site Office and Stores with QDI signage.
  3. Maintain the Site Office and Stores to a high standard throughout the project.
  4. Issue Bi-Weekly P&T HILTI Reports.
  5. Issue Bi-Weekly Project Reports or as specified by the Main Contractor.
  6. Assist the Contracts Manager in producing the project programme.
  7. Support payroll with timesheet queries.
  8. Coordinate mechanical services and builder's work drawings.
  9. Order materials and check plant delivery dates to ensure timely arrival.
  10. Issue signed Delivery Dockets to Procurement.
  11. Manage sub-contractors and staff on site regarding safety, quality, and installation coordination.
  12. Assist Project Engineers to deliver Quality Assurance documents at set milestones.
  13. Notify the Contracts Manager of site variations and completion upon instruction.
  14. Attend site meetings and weekly progress reviews.
  15. Ensure all installations meet QDI standards.
  16. Oversee commissioning and testing of mechanical services.
  17. Handle project closeout and site decanting.

Desired Criteria:

  1. Previous site management experience in the HVAC industry is required.
  2. Healthcare experience is advantageous.
  3. Proficient in MS Office programs.
  4. Driven to achieve project success, committed to high-quality, timely completion.
  5. Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate teams and meet deadlines.
