Electrician Entry Level

Our Electrician position is responsible for troubleshooting, correcting, and maintaining all electrical equipment within the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures
2. Inspect electrical systems, equipment or components to identify hazards, defects or repair
3. Troubleshoot, program and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
4. Identify and troubleshoot objects using electrical control schematics
5. Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor
6. Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints and schematics
7. Program AC & DC variable speed drivers
8. Update power distribution system, MCC and switch gears
9. Install electrical equipment consisting of variable frequency drives, diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems
10. Maintain and troubleshoot various optimization systems

Required skills and experience include:

1. Lock-out procedures
2. Field Level Hazard Risk Assessments (FLHRA)
3. Electrical circuitry and components, including circuit breakers, motors and controllers, control devices, motor theory, rigging, precision alignments
4. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
5. Predictive and preventative maintenance
6. Computer and PLC skills
7. Able to use hand and power tools and to understand proper use, including multi-meters, knowledge of 480 volt 3 Phase AC

Other required skills:

1. Be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime and to be on-call to support 24/7 operations
2. Have 4-5 years of Electrician work experience in Industrial/Manufacturing environment
3. Must have High School Diploma or GED
4. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check

1. Allen Bradley PLC5
2. Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000
3. Allen Bradley Panelviews
4. Allen Bradley Communications – Devicenet & Ethernet
5. Scanning and Optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Porter, USNR)
6. Process Network Communication Systems and Components – Ethernet & Fiber Optic
