MEDICAL SECRETARY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our team at Mid West Physiotherapy clinic in Castletroy, Limerick in a full-time role. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both patients and clinicians.

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Support the clinical team in the delivery of a great patient experience
- Welcome patients to the clinic
- Manage and schedule patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Process appointment payments
- Follow up on missed appointments
- Process insurance company and corporate referrals
- Type up letters/reports dictated by clinicians via dictaphone
- Assist with third party billing
- Handle administrative tasks e.g. data inputting, scanning, filing and postage
- Generate and track regular reports (e.g. patient recalls) for clinician completion
- Manage and order stock i.e. retail items, clinic consumables and general supplies
- Optimise clinic efficiency and processes
- Ensure compliance with GDPR confidentiality requirements
- Marketing related tasks

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- 1+ years' experience in a similar role (e.g. medical secretary/front of house/receptionist administrator)
- Able to demonstrate competencies corresponding to the job description
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Knowledge of AI systems for healthcare/administration is highly desirable
