MEDICAL SECRETARY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join our team at Mid West Physiotherapy clinic in Castletroy, Limerick in a full-time role. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both patients and clinicians.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Support the clinical team in the delivery of a great patient experience
  • Welcome patients to the clinic
  • Manage and schedule patient appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Process appointment payments
  • Follow up on missed appointments
  • Process insurance company and corporate referrals
  • Type up letters/reports dictated by clinicians via dictaphone
  • Assist with third party billing
  • Handle administrative tasks e.g. data inputting, scanning, filing and postage
  • Generate and track regular reports (e.g. patient recalls) for clinician completion
  • Manage and order stock i.e. retail items, clinic consumables and general supplies
  • Optimise clinic efficiency and processes
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR confidentiality requirements
  • Marketing related tasks

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 1+ years' experience in a similar role (e.g. medical secretary/front of house/receptionist administrator)
  • Able to demonstrate competencies corresponding to the job description
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of AI systems for healthcare/administration is highly desirable
