Currently, we are hiring an EMC Test and Validation Engineer to support our automotive client in Co. Galway.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of the EMC relevant requirements.
  • Definition of the EMC test cases according to the requirements, standards, regulations and further applicable documents like Functional Safety Concept (test scope).
  • Writing and maintaining of EMC Test Plan, including review and approval of the document.
  • Prepare FVS from EMC perspective.
  • Generation of EMC validation cost estimation.
  • Lead EMC validation activities including equipment, planning, booking of internal and external resources.
  • Review EMC Test Report.
  • Based on failure analysis making proposals for design optimization.
  • Perform internal communication including status and test progress, results.
  • Interface to the EMC Design Team.
  • Perform customer communication verbally and in written format about all relevant EMC topics including test status, results and reports.
  • In case of failure during validation campaigns creation of failure tickets (artifact) and reporting to the Project team (R&D Mechatronics, Design).
  • Support product conformity according to Type Approval process.
  • Support EMC Design Engineer about EMC risk analysis.

Authority:

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Electronics / RF Microwaves or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in EMC test laboratory or in an EMC related role preferred.
  • Demonstrate a level of commitment, initiative and quality of workmanship required within an R&D environment.
  • 2 years' experience in EMC testing desirable.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Team player.
