The company provides high-quality services to clients across the UK and Ireland, including neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for adults and children as well as expert witness assessments for the courts and parole boards, assessments in criminal/prison law, family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases.

Role Description - Full and Part Time Vacancies Available

This is an exciting and valuable role within a busy service, providing invaluable assessments to families. This is a hybrid role located in Dublin for a suitably qualified Educational, Clinical or Counselling Psychologist working within a Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely. Multiple roles are available to attract candidates with differing levels of experience, including senior roles.

The role requires conducting comprehensive specialist assessments including diagnostic assessments of individuals with suspected Neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism, ADHD and learning disability assessments using established diagnostic tools. Assessments of Mental health conditions may also be required. Assessments are undertaken on behalf of the HSE.

The clinician is also responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner, as well as providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. Additionally, the clinician may be involved in supervising and supporting junior staff members depending on experience.

Salary - Dependent upon experience

Qualifications

  • A recognised University degree or diploma (NQAI Level 8 equivalent) obtained with first or second class honours in which psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject.
  • AND, a postgraduate professional psychological qualification recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical or Counselling Psychology OR a postgraduate professional psychology qualification validated by the Department of Health and Children in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
  • Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Experience in conducting diagnostic Neurodevelopmental/Specialist developmental assessments with children.
  • Experience working with children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism, ADHD and learning disability.
  • ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in report writing and record keeping.
  • Additional qualifications in relevant area.
