An exciting opportunity to join Ireland's leading independent manufacturer of concrete and bituminous construction materials. We are currently hiring a QC Technician to join our team at our construction materials testing facility in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

This is a junior role within our technical department. This position is suited to secondary school graduates, early careers applicants, and individuals seeking to change careers. Materials testing experience is not required, as all successful applicants will receive full on-the-job training to learn testing methods and product specifics. Candidates will initially shadow experienced colleagues to gain the necessary skills.

Responsibilities:

The role involves physical testing of building materials such as aggregates (sand, stone, gravel), ready-mix concrete, concrete blocks, paving blocks/flags, and road-making (bituminous) materials. These materials are routinely tested for size conformity and strength.

Skills Required:

Willingness and ability to perform physical sampling and testing work. Good written and record-keeping skills, along with confidence in using IT equipment and software, are essential.
