We are seeking experienced retail or craft Butchers who are passionate about delivering quality products and building rapport with customers, as well as upselling products in a customer-facing environment.

Our client offers a competitive salary from €16.00 - €18.00 per hour DOE plus benefits.

The ideal candidate:
  • Previous experience as a butcher in a retail environment is essential
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a confident and outgoing personality
  • Motivated with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of HACCP
  • Flexible to work early mornings, occasional late evenings, and weekends
Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and inspecting carcasses or cuts of meat, determining butchering methods, and preparing meat according to customer orders and standards
  • Assisting customers in selecting cuts, providing cooking advice, and answering questions about different types of meat
  • Maintaining hygiene standards, proper storage, and handling of meat, and cleaning equipment and work areas regularly in compliance with health regulations
  • Weighing, pricing, and packaging meat products for sale or display
  • Providing excellent customer service, sharing product knowledge, and upselling
