Overview

Job Title: Chief Physicist

Institution: Cork University Hospital

Location: Cork, Ireland

Cork University Hospital seeks an experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead the management and contribution to a large service covering the Cork-Kerry region in Ireland. The successful candidate will oversee Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services, and contribute to the wider medical physics profession in Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and contribute to the development of Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement radiation safety protocols
  • Contribute to the development of medical physics education and training programs in Ireland
Qualifications
  • PhD in Medical Physics or a related field
  • Significant experience in managing a large medical physics service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
