Your Role in Shaping the Future

We are expanding our insurance advisory practice in Ireland, where you will work closely with our dedicated team of experienced consultants. This is an exciting opportunity for a trainee actuary, accountant, data analyst, underwriting or regulatory specialist. Hybrid, remote and flexible working arrangements are on offer for suitably experienced candidates.

Your new team is highly integrated with a larger network of professionals across our six other offices in Europe. As an Insurance Consultant, you will work on cutting-edge projects in insurance risk management, valuation, and regulatory compliance. Your work will directly influence the industry by helping clients navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities for innovation and growth.

This is a client-facing role that requires a well-rounded skill set, blending technical expertise with strong consulting, communication, and project management abilities. We're specifically looking for individuals who can confidently engage with clients, build trusted relationships, and navigate complex issues - not just technically capable consultants, but those who can represent us effectively in front of clients.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Expertise

  • Partner with clients to address Solvency II/BMA EBS challenges, including technical provisions, SCR calculations, and internal model validations.
  • Lead on a variety of complex projects delivering excellence to clients.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, including the development of ERM frameworks, ORSA processes, recovery and resolution plans, and strategies to mitigate climate risks.
  • Collaborate on investment portfolio optimisation and asset allocation aligned with risk profiles.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Stay ahead of evolving prudential regulations by analysing and interpreting changes to ensure client compliance. Translate complex regulatory updates into actionable insights and guidance.
Client Engagement
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, delivering tailored solutions and strategies that align with their ambitions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, bridging technical expertise with business goals.
Team Collaboration
  • Contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and innovation within the team.
  • Translate client needs into actionable specifications, ensuring smooth communication between technical experts and business teams.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
  • Enhance Finalyse's presence through thought leadership initiatives, including publications, conference presentations, and industry networking.
  • Participate in internal working groups, contributing to marketing, knowledge-sharing, and professional development.
What You Will Bring

Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant insurance experience.
  • Experience working in actuarial, accountancy, underwriting, risk and/or regulatory teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding in Solvency II and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Affinity with programming languages such as R, Python, or SAS could be advantageous.
Skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex topics into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with committees or professional bodies is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
Qualifications
  • Recently qualified or partially qualified qualification in a relevant field.
  • You must have the legal right to live and work in the Republic of Ireland, and to travel within the EU.
What We Offer
  • An opportunity to join a team celebrated for its expertise, innovation, and collaborative spirit.
  • Accelerated career progression in a dynamic, fast-growing company.
  • Hybrid, remote, and flexible working arrangements are on offer for suitably experienced candidates, with the expectations to attend Finalyse/client offices as required.
  • Access to a tailored training program, focusing on both technical and soft skills.
  • Mentoring and coaching from seasoned professionals.
  • Opportunities to travel across Europe and engage with international clients.
  • An attractive remuneration package, complemented by competitive benefits such as employer pension contributions, income protection and life insurance.
