We are seeking an Associate Director of Identity and Access Management Operations to infuse our team with innovative ideas and daring solutions. In this position, you will play a crucial role in defining how our organization ensures secure, appropriate, and timely access to enterprise resources, while also driving our Identity and Access Management strategy forward.
Why This Role Matters
The Associate Director of Identity and Access Management Operations is a leadership role overseeing the team responsible for operating the company's 24/7 identity platforms and services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the secure and efficient management of identity and access services within our organization. The responsibilities will encompass day-to-day operations, incident management, change management, and problem resolution related to identity. This role will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, address risks, and enhance our identity program. This includes working closely with service leads to ensure alignment on priorities, allocating resources effectively, and driving operational excellence.
This role includes participation in an on-call rotation covering the weekends and country holidays, to support our 'follow the sun' model across Kuala Lumpur, Cork and the U.S. IAM teams. On call coverage is required from Friday 7pm – Sunday 7pm local time with responsibilities focused on resolving priority IAM requests. The on-call responsibilities are designed to support critical operations and ensure timely resolution of issues outside standard working hours supporting 24/7 operational resilience. On call requirements for this role will be limited to escalations received from the Team on critical or complex requirements.

Team Leadership & Management:
- Recruit, hire and develop a high-performing team of identity operations engineers.
- Provide coaching, career development, performance management and professional growth opportunities.
- Foster a culture focused on innovation, continuous learning, and operational discipline.
- Cultivate a global team culture, ensuring alignment across geographies to operate as one global team.
- Cultivate a diverse and inclusive team fostering different perspectives and backgrounds.
- Implement workforce management to balance workload, staffing levels, and service commitments.
- Engage stakeholders across security teams, IT business units and vendors to understand business needs and drive continuous improvements.
- Define Tier 1 and Tier 2 support offerings, escalation paths, and hand-offs.
- Implement and lead processes for escalation, incident management, change management, problem resolution and continuous improvement that enable the support of 24/7 services.
- Develop processes to ensure 24/7 support for high priority incidents.
- Drive major incident management and effective communication during high priority incidents.
- Ensure 24/7 monitoring, alerting, and health checks across all identity, platforms, services, and integrations.
- Establish service metrics based on requirements from service leads to measure success of identity services.
- Effectively manage service platforms and technologies through vulnerability management, life cycle management, and vendor management.
- Identify opportunities to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency through new technologies and processes.
- Ensure alignment with security architecture principles and technology standards.
- Demonstrate experience in identity-related security incident response and incorporating learnings into operational improvements.
- Drive response to audit and compliance requests pertaining to Identity services.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in leading an IT enterprise services operational support organization.
- 3+ years of proven experience in Identity and Access Management.
- Experience with IT service management (ITIL)
- Strong knowledge and experience in Identity and Access Management capabilities and technologies.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams in a global enterprise
- Exceptional program/project management capabilities with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong business acumen combined with technical depth to influence and drive outcomes
