The RoleWe're seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated hospital team. This role offers variety and flexibility, with the opportunity to shape your caseload to suit your interests and experience.
- 39 hours (5 days) per week, weekends shared on rotation
- Flexible shifts to support childcare and other commitments
- No out-of-hours or on-call
- Balanced rota with protected time off
- Duties include consultations, medical workups, routine surgery, and inpatient care
- Role can be tailored towards your interests (internal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, etc.)
- Full funding provided for further studies - certificates, diplomas, or PhDs
- Junior vets are encouraged to apply - support and training provided for the right candidate
Raheny Veterinary Hospital has been part of the local community for generations. Trusted by pet owners and known for our approachable, compassionate care, we\'ve built lasting bonds with families across North Dublin. Our modern hospital is fully equipped with two operating theatres, in-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental suite with dental X-ray, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and laparoscopic kit. We also provide 24-hour emergency cover, ensuring continuity of care when it\'s needed most. Our team includes 8 Vets, 7 Nurses, 2 Animal Care Assistants, and 9 support staff who collaborate closely to deliver the best possible care.
What We're Looking For- Registered (or eligible to register) with the Veterinary Council of Ireland by October 2025
- Strong communicator and team player
- Passion for delivering excellent patient care and thorough case workups
- Able to work independently, but also thrive in a collaborative hospital setting
