Role Description:

The candidate will support the Quality Assurance team in mitigating risk across the Global Banking & Markets Anti-Money Laundering organization and program. The position is within Quality Assurance organization. You will provide support for monthly control execution within a LOB and directly support execution and management of the ILQA Program through various initiatives to drive process improvements and control performance sustainability.

This role requires an operational risk and compliance background, Risk Framework (QA Standard) knowledge, understanding of AML requirements and testing across multiple Jurisdictions. Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture and will support testing inspections, control oversight and execution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform AML quality control inspections to ensure that cases are appropriately completed and filed in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency guidelines.
  2. Become fully familiar with using and incorporating the Global Compliance policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain proactive communication with Senior Management including providing periodic updates on case progress and identified potential issues.
  4. Analyse client data and KYC records to identify complex and variable issues with significant departmental impact.
  5. Responsible for various types of project management, process and policy changes, new initiatives and managing cross-functional relationships with all teams.
  6. Execute Quality Assurance activities including control execution, case assignment, and results reporting in a timely manner.
  7. Support initiatives to enhance Quality Assurance program success.
  8. Provide support on Regulatory Exams, Internal Audits, and other Monitoring & Inspection reviews.
  9. Capture data and information relevant to inspection metrics to support governance activities for dashboard reporting.

What we are looking for:

  1. Previous experience of AML/KYC gained within the banking sector.
  2. Experience in Quality Control/Assurance Testing, Management, Process Risk Control, Risk Control Self-Assessment, internal audit, risk management, process improvement, compliance, front line control role or similar business control experience.
  3. Awareness of risks, and broad understanding of internal control framework.
  4. Working knowledge of Global Banking and Markets or diverse experience across multiple lines of business and functions.

Additional Skills:

  1. Excellent communication abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  2. Research and analytical skills – Ability to prioritize effectively, a self-starter, organized, capable of performing work independently with minimal direction.
  3. Proficient computer/software skills - Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
