About the Opportunity
We are seeking to hire an experienced Finance professional for the position of Group Financial Accountant, reporting to the Group Finance Manager. The Group Financial Accountant will provide financial support and direction as part of the Group Finance Function and have responsibility for reporting consolidated management accounts, board reports and other information. This is a fixed term position based in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork with hybrid working options available.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and board report.
- Preparation of consolidated annual financial statements and annual report for Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited and Subsidiaries.
- Preparation of statutory accounts for Dairygold's Irish and International legal entities.
- Review and management of balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Review monthly financial submissions received from various divisions.
- Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts, and capital expenditure reports by various divisions.
- Preparation of the Group budget and the Society consolidated budget.
- Responsible for VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors.
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of the fixed asset registers for various Dairygold legal entities.
- Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
- Supporting Heads of Functions with departmental costings including the management of the property division monthly accounts.
- Preparation and review of Group Finance policies and procedures.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of group wide controls and processes.
- Assisting in ad-hoc reports and project work as required; automation and digital strategy.
What you will bring to Dairygold:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA & CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
- Consolidation experience.
- Excellent IT/financial systems experience - Oracle Essbase, Smartview experience an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales.
- Resilience and capable of working under pressure in a demanding environment.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high accuracy.
- Strong commercial awareness, business acumen.
- Teamwork and collaboration and the ability to build effective partnerships with all stakeholders.
