JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support our firm's Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). In this role, you will be responsible for administering various aspects of the Firm's compliance function including the ongoing operation and development of the firm's Regulatory compliance requirements and annual reporting to Professional Bodies, KYC and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures, and providing ongoing support to the audit department. You will also play a key role in developing and implementing systems, reporting tools, and training programs related to AML, KYC, and compliance matters.

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Supervise Know Your Client and client onboarding procedures and provide support to client teams.
  • Perform ongoing evaluation of existing client due diligence and ensure updates are made on a rolling basis.
  • Develop and enhance the firm's KYC systems, implementing new procedures and technologies where appropriate.
  • Enhance and maintain reporting tools for Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STRs) and other regulatory reporting obligations under Criminal Justice legislation, including liaison with departmental and professional staff.
  • Coordinate and organize training sessions on AML and related topics, working with external third-party providers, ensuring that training initiatives meet regulatory requirements and firm standards.
  • Global Conflict Checking within the Crowe Global network Reporting Tools, managing and reporting on global conflict checking processes, ensuring that all conflicts are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Provide ongoing updates to the departments as applicable on changes to relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Organise and assist with Annual Compliance Reviews with Professional Bodies and external third-party providers.
  • Manage tri-annual Compliance reviews with Network global teams.
  • Oversee the organization of the annual ISQM (International Standard on Quality Management) reviews across the firm.
  • Supervise the firm's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and IES8 (International Education Standard 8) compliance, ensuring alignment with audit department training programs.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Proven experience in a compliance role, particularly in KYC, AML, and regulatory reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant regulations, including criminal justice legislation and anti-money laundering laws.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to implement new systems and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external third parties.
  • Familiarity with international compliance standards, including ISQM, CPD, and IES8.
  • Experience with KYC software and systems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and evolving industry standards
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
