Overview

Graduate Energy Engineer - 2026 at Stantec

Location: Dublin, Galway, Cork, or Castlebar. We are seeking a driven and ambitious graduate engineer, or soon-to-be graduate, with a passion for energy to join our Ireland-based consultancy. You will join our graduate cohort in 2026 and contribute to projects across water, wastewater, energy and environmental management. You will work with a supportive and collaborative team and have opportunities to gain hands-on experience from planning and design through on-site implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver solutions for clients across water, wastewater, energy and environmental management projects.
  • Work across planning, design and on-site implementation phases.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals who mentor and guide you.
Qualifications
  • Third level degree qualification (level 7 or higher in the National Framework of Qualifications) in Engineering, ideally specialising in Energy, Civil, Electrical or related field.
  • Adaptability to remain calm in changing situations and ability to switch between diverse tasks.
  • Perseverance to stay composed and approach challenges with determination.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with willingness to challenge conventional thinking.
  • Driver's licence is advantageous as some site visits may be required.
