The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join our growing Procurement team within the Finance Department. The role is full time permanent and offers hybrid working flexibility.

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, as a senior member of the Procurement team, the Procurement Manager will collaborate extensively with internal and external collaborators to ensure the function achieves its overall objectives. This role is critical in shaping and driving the Procurement function across the company, building performance-based supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standard process, and aiding delivery of an efficient, value for money supply base for the organisation.

The successful candidate must have a strong commercial background with senior Procurement experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment, preferably in Ecommerce or Technology. Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering Procurement strategy is crucial and will require management of vendor engagements and contracts and delivery of cost savings across a range of activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Procurement in the development and execution of company-wide strategic Procurement plans, including associated policies, ways of working and standard process to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead end to end sourcing activities with internal and external stakeholders, including tendering / RFP process as required, sourcing, benchmarking, contract review, commercial negotiations, and execution.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of contracted activities, maintaining key supplier relationships through ongoing review, identifying continuous improvement opportunities with collaborators and maximising value for money.
  • Plan, deliver and demonstrate effective cost savings / avoidance across all departments and cost categories.
  • Support delivery and ongoing success of new contract management (CLM) system.
  • Develop and deliver various Procurement KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and integrity and engaging with budget holders and business owners to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Lead and handle Procurement projects and teams as required, ensuring flawless execution.
Requirements
  • Third level qualification in a relevant field essential.
  • Professional Procurement qualification (CIPS, or equivalent) desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' senior Procurement experience in dynamic and fast paced industry, preferably in Ecommerce or Technology.
  • Consistent track record in achieving cost savings and cost avoidance.
  • Demonstrable experience in strategic Procurement planning activities, including delivery of process improvements.
  • Management of RFPs and contracts with vendors ranging from multinationals to niche operators, with a focus on service industry vendors.
  • Strong IT system skills, including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
