Job Description Summary

As the Maintenance Technician, you will work as part of the Maintenance team and will be responsible for ensuring that all infrastructure systems perform predictably and continue to operate as required in order to support the manufacturing process. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all systems, GMP and non-GMP, conform to relevant regulatory requirements as well as company specifications and requirements. The site is focused on continuous improvement of all work processes and practices and all colleagues are required to be flexible in this regard.

Responsibilities

  1. Maximise the availability of all equipment to ensure full operations schedule adherence.
  2. Monitor day to day performance of systems. Troubleshooting of performance trends.
  3. Perform maintenance and improvement work on all equipment.
  4. Support the Preventative Maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs.
  5. Develop and implement equipment specific maintenance strategies.
  6. Work with the Engineering Systems Team Lead to develop a "reliability" centered asset care strategy.
  7. Maintain safety and regulatory equipment at all times and report any defects.
  8. Ensure accurate recording of all work completed in Maximo.
  9. Liaise with site stores team on the procurement of spare and replacement parts.
  10. Ensure that maintenance cover for your areas is provided at all times.
  11. Management of detailed technical files and equipment history logs.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert in relevant equipment.
  13. Provide support to Operations, Validation, Engineering and Quality.
  14. Support of new product introductions and introduction of new equipment.
  15. Assist in the management of all required external contractors.
  16. Support the development of training packs for all equipment.
  17. Ensure compliance to all aspects of the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
  18. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns.
  19. Support the assessment, action and closure of assigned safety actions.
  20. Aware of and comply with QA facilities and Good Documentation Practices.
  21. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  22. Strive for the highest standards in housekeeping and GMP.
  23. Support CAPA investigations, determining accurate root cause and implementing action plans.

Qualifications and experience

  1. Completed Engineering Qualification/Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Solid experience within a GMP manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills.
  4. Ability to work on own initiative & judgement with minimal supervision.
  5. Relevant working knowledge of a regulated industry and GMP.
  6. A high degree of computer literacy.

Desired Skills

  1. Previous experience working with a CMMS preferably Maximo.
  2. Experience in reliability centralized maintenance techniques i.e RCM, FMEA.
  3. Demonstrate Commitment, Engagement and Accountability at all times.

Eligibility requirements

A good level of English and a valid work permit.
