Project Manager – R&D

Electronics Product Development

Shannon, Co. Clare (Onsite)

Circa €70,000 – €75,000 + Bonus + Pension + Health Insurance

IT Search has partnered with a leading global technology company to recruit a Project Manager for their R&D division in Shannon. This is a key onsite role, where you'll take ownership of complex product development projects from concept right through to delivery. You'll be working across electronics, embedded software, mechanical design, cloud/IoT platforms and validation, helping to deliver next-generation safety and connected technologies.

The Role
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Drive projects through structured frameworks and stage-gate processes.
  • Oversee planning, risk management, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Guide products from inception to production with a clear focus on quality and reliability.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in project management, ideally in electronics or regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, life safety, industrial).
  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology.
  • PMP / PRINCE2 (PMP preferred).
  • Familiarity with hardware, embedded software/firmware, mechanical product design, cloud/IoT platforms, and lab validation.
  • Confident leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
