An opportunity has arisen to join our Radiology team as a Locum Sonographer.

There is mid-week & weekend availability in line with departmental requirements.

The successful candidate will:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations while ensuring patient comfort and care.
  • Lead the daily running of the scheduled imaging list, including vetting referrals and managing workflow.
  • Provide preliminary reports of scans which will be second read by radiologists.
  • Report any malfunction of defects in equipment to the Radiology Services Manager or deputy.
  • Be able to recognise and report any erratic or defective performance of equipment.

Application Criteria:
  • BSc in Radiography (or equivalent)
  • Post graduate diploma in Ultrasound is desired
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in sonography
  • CORU registration (essential)
