Type: Full-Time, Permanent
In partnership with our client, a leading engineering client based in County Cavan, Glantech Staffing are currently seeking applications for the position of Financial Analyst. This role will play a key part in analysing financial data, preparing insightful reports, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and other senior stakeholders to provide high-quality analysis that drives performance and supports growth.
Responsibilities- Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and key drivers.
- Prepare and present management reports, KPIs, and dashboards for senior management.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate data and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with department heads to monitor sales, costs, margins, and profitability.
- Provide data and analysis to support tenders, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure data integrity within financial systems and contribute to process improvements.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified with strong analytical skills.
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial services, or multi-site environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills; experience with BI tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems (Salesforce experience highly desirable).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to link financial results to operational performance.
- Comfortable working with large data sets and translating them into actionable insights.
- Proactive and collaborative, able to work cross-functionally with operational teams.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, growing business where adaptability is key.
