Overview

Join Our Caring Team at Bluebird Care Dublin North (D7, D9, D11) We are hiring Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) on permanent contracts. Working hours are full time or part time. NO VISA SPONSORSHIP — all applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Travel between clients' residences to deliver personalised support in the comfort of their own homes
  • Assist clients with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding if required
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Support medication prompts/reminders
  • Carry out light household duties (tidying, laundry, etc.)
  • Promote client independence and dignity at all times
  • Report concerns or changes in health to the office promptly
  • Accurately record visit notes and care updates
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Desirable: 2 modules of QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (Care Skills/Healthcare Support and Care of the Older Person) or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant preferred, but newcomers are welcome
  • Alternatively: no experience but caring personality and willingness to complete a minimum of 2 QQI Level 5 modules in Healthcare
  • Very good spoken and written English
  • Availability to work at least every second weekend
  • All applicants must have previous work experience in Ireland
  • Living in D7, D9 or D11
