Location: The Society operates a hybrid working model with a combination of remote and in-person (Dublin 4 office) working

Office days: Wednesday & Thursday weekly

What Youll Do

As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role within the Programme Management Office (PMO). You will be responsible for managing and delivering strategic projects and programmes that collectively support the organisation's overarching strategy developed by the CEO, Board, and leadership team.

You will manage projects across multiple departments, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and risks are mitigated. A core part of your role will be to lead the coalition of reporting across teams and functions, consolidating project data and insights to provide accurate, timely, and insightful updates for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) under the guidance of your line manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Delivery: End-to-end delivery of assigned strategic projects and programmes, including defining scope, objectives, detailed project plans, and resource allocation to deliver on our strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved on schedule and within parameters.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate and developing contingency plans.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational policies, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead operational delivery of components of large-scale cross-organisational strategic projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Reporting, Communication, and Coalition Building: Drive the coalition of reporting across multiple teams and departments, gather, consolidate, and validate project data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and insightful reports and presentations for stakeholders that reflect progress, risks, and impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, dashboards, and tools to track performance against KPIs and objectives, supporting transparent and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support Head of Strategic Programmes in facilitating cross-organisational collaboration and alignment in reporting standards and processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Head of Strategic Programmes and others as needed to ensure project activities align with organisational priorities and strategic goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and beneficiaries to promote collaboration and successful delivery.
  • Support change management activities within project teams to facilitate adoption of new processes or systems.
  • Continuous Improvement and Capability Building: Contribute to development and standardisation of project management methodologies, tools, and templates across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery and reporting processes, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance project management skills and sector knowledge.
  • General: Undertake other duties as required to support the successful delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years project management experience, ideally in a complex or multi-team organisation.
  • Recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP).
  • Proven success in delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.
  • Familiarity with project management methods and tools (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, MS Project).
  • Strong skills in reporting and data analysis, with the ability to produce clear and useful progress reports and presentations.
  • Experience coordinating reporting across teams to provide senior leadership with consolidated updates.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit or public sector.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning and performance measurement frameworks (e.g., KPIs, OKRs).
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident working with senior stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to work.
