About Transaction BankingThe Global Specialist Cash Sales Team operates within the wider Transaction Banking area, which is a key income driver for Barclays Corporate Bank both in the UK and internationally. Transaction Banking functions across regions including North America, Western Europe, and Asia.
About Global Specialist Cash Sales (Payments & Cash Management Specialist)This team is responsible for positioning and selling Payment & Cash Management Solutions to corporate and non-bank financial institutions globally, including key geographies such as the UK, Europe, US, and Asia. Services offered include global payments, collections, liquidity solutions, FX, and digital products, providing advanced advice on complex cash management and liquidity solutions.
Overall Purpose of RoleThe role supports the European Payments & Cash Management business development within Ireland. It involves working closely with Relationship Directors to develop and monetize cash management, liquidity, and global payment opportunities, requiring strong knowledge of these solutions and collaboration with infrastructure areas like tax, legal, finance, and compliance.
Essential Skills/Qualifications- Experience in business development or sales teams
- Strong knowledge of Irish corporate and financial markets
- Expertise in cash management, liquidity, and global payment solutions
- Experience in sales management, pipeline, and stakeholder management
- Commercial understanding of deposits and money transmission
- Knowledge of risk, compliance, and regulatory governance
- ACIB / degree / ACT diploma or similar
- Knowledge of complex cash management solutions like notional pooling, multicurrency pooling, ZBA
- Liquidity and FX solutions expertise
- Understanding of market infrastructures such as TARGET2, EURO1, CHAPS, BACS, FEDWIRE, STEP2, RT1
- Knowledge of European payment solutions like SEPA SCT, SDDs, Instant, TIPPS, EBICs
- SWIFT knowledge including XML ISO 20022, MT Messaging, FileAct
- Understanding of global/regional payments regulations including PSD2, FATV16, EU Funds Transfer Regulation, Dodd-Frank
- Strong sales cycle management, analytical, and strategic skills
Assessment may include risk management, change, digital skills, and technical expertise.
LocationDublin. This role is a Controlled Function under the Central Bank of Ireland regulations and may require specific regulatory qualifications.
Purpose of the RoleTo generate revenue and promote the bank's product and service offerings to various customer segments.
