360 Machine Operator

As a 360 Machine Operative you will be responsible for tasks including loading and unloading of containers and curtain siders, recycling sorting, conducting machine checks, using plant machinery such as a Fork Lift, Loading shovel or 360 Excavator (as appropriate) and ensuring good site housekeeping.

• To undertake the operation of mobile plant as directed by the site manager.
• To be able to operate to a good standard a 360 material rehandler tracked and wheeled.
• To be able to operate to a good standard a loading shovel, wheeled front loader.
• To ensure the mobile plant he is operating undergoes an inspection prior to use with any defects or damage reported to the site manager and noted on the daily check sheet.
• To ensure Mobile plant is greased, radiators blown clean of dust, and all oil levels maintained in accordance with company/manufacturers procedures.
• To ensure machine is operated responsibly and only used for the tasks it is designed to carry out.
• To communicate with colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility.
• To read, understand and follow all risk assessments, work procedures and safe systems of work.
• To ensure Mobile plant is washed off at the end of each shift.
• To carry out tasks other than machine operation as requested by management.

• NPORS certification for operating relevant machinery (essential).
• High level of operational competence in heavy machinery handling.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work flexibly and take on additional non-machine tasks when required.
• Attention to detail in inspections, reporting, and maintenance.
• Responsible and safe approach to equipment operation.
