Job DescriptionJob Description

We're looking for an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components

  • Perform preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues

  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards

  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders

  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently and safely

  • Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or technician

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

  • Own tools (tool allowance available)

  • CDL a plus but not required

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications a plus
