Join The Well Pet Hospital, a leading small animal veterinary hospital in Sligo, as part of our professional clinical team. We're seeking a confident, skilled clinician to bring their expertise to a team committed to excellence in patient care. This is a 5-day per week role, including participation in a shared weekend and on-call rota, offering a varied caseload across consultations, surgery, inpatient care, and emergency cases.

You'll have the opportunity to shape clinical standards, mentor junior team members, and explore career progression pathways, including clinical leadership roles if desired.

• Deliver high-quality clinical work across consultations, surgical procedures, and case management
• Perform advanced diagnostic assessments and detailed treatment planning
• Conduct routine small animal surgeries and dentistry procedures
• Manage inpatients, emergencies, and intensive care cases with clinical confidence
• Work both independently (including sole charge) and collaboratively within our veterinary team
• Engage with and support team development and evidence-based clinical practices
• Utilize our CARE fund to go above and beyond for patients when needed

• VCI registered veterinary surgeon, fully eligible to work in Ireland
• Minimum of 4 years' clinical experience in small animal practice
• Competence in small animal surgery, diagnostics, and emergency medicine
• Strong communication and leadership qualities; comfortable supporting less experienced vets
• Desire for clinical progression – developing special interests or pursuing a Certificate, Diploma or PhD (all fully funded)
• Confidence with sole charge and complex case management
• Interest in mentoring, quality improvement, or leadership development welcomed

We are a dedicated small animal only hospital in Sligo, committed to compassionate, comprehensive care. Our facilities include separate dog and cat wards, multiple consultation rooms (including nurse-led consultations), and advanced diagnostic equipment such as ultrasound, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory, and dentistry. Our team includes clinicians with certifications in dermatology and western herbal medicine.

We offer full-time, permanent hours over a structured 5-day week, with a shared weekend/on-call rota, ensuring clinical variety and work-life balance.
