Paediatric SHO & Registrar (Locum and Stand-Alone Posts)Paediatric SHO & Registrar (Locum and Stand-Alone Posts)

Opalus Healthcare is seeking experienced and compassionate Paediatrics SHOs and Registrars for roles across both public and private hospitals in Ireland. Positions are available on a locum or contract basis (6–12 months), with full-time and part-time flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver acute and routine medical care to neonates, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform clinical assessments, diagnostics, and implement treatment plans.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and support clinical audits.
  • Registrars may also supervise junior doctors and assist in training.

Requirements:

  • IMC Registration (General or Specialist Division).
  • Minimum 2 years of post-internship experience in paediatrics.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in different locations across Ireland.
  • Work permit or right to work in Ireland.
  • Experience in the Irish healthcare system.
  • NRP or PALS certification.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.

  • Exposure to diverse paediatric settings and patient needs.
