Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Fidelity Ireland under the Institutional Wealth Management Solutions (IWMS). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high value products that support our customers in providing excellent financial solutions. Must be a self-starter, take the lead and be able to work well with others, and communicate software changes to business partners, system analysts, QA engineers, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor scrum teams focused on building software solutions for business-critical, architecturally distributed experiences.
  • Produce high-quality code with high test coverage, following processes, standards, and methodologies.
  • Drive and influence discussions with partners across business and architecture through strong communication skills and technical expertise.
  • Apply application design and development experience across build, CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins) and UI technologies (Angular, JavaScript, Bootstrap, React or other UI framework).
  • Ensure end-to-end delivery of requirements or user stories meeting business needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Lead teams in delivering full-stack technology solutions with a focus on reliability and stability.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST API Microservices, Kubernetes, Lambda, AWS.
  • Hands-on technical leadership experience and ability to communicate software changes to business partners, system analysts, QA engineers, etc.
  • Experience with build, CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins).
  • Experience with UI technologies (Angular, JavaScript, Bootstrap, React or other UI framework).
  • Experience with Agile development practices and the value they bring to development teams.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and to lead teams in delivering full-stack solutions.
