Artic Driver

We are currently looking to hire Artic Drivers to join the Barry Group team. There are 2 available shifts:

Day Shift: As a day shift Artic Driver, you will be responsible for the multi‑drop deliveries to customers weekly from Monday to Friday.

Night Trunking: As a night trunking Artic driver you will be responsible for evening/night trunking weekly from Sunday – Thursday. You will be based from Barry Group, Head Office, Mallow and will report to the Transport Manager.

• Daily safety checks on vehicle and load.
• Make sure the load is safe for transit and secure it using straps to avoid damage to the truck or the goods.
• Drive vehicles to destinations and unload at customer/supplier premises as required.
• Collect all used roll cages and pallets at destinations.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and returned in full.
• The driver is responsible at all times for the vehicle and load that they are in control of.
• Have a professional and customer focused approach to presentation and work.

• A minimum of two years' experience driving Artic Trucks.
• Have a full clean driving license in the appropriate category.
• Be up to date with CPC card and CPC yearly modules.
• Have strong interpersonal skills.
• Be self-motivated and an enthusiastic disposition.
