Roles and Responsibilities

  • To provide quality early childhood care and education to children
  • To guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring environment.
  • To work in close co-operation with the Manager and the other team members
  • To act, if required, as a key worker to specified children
  • Ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all children in your care.
  • To assist in the planning and implementation of an age-appropriate stimulating programme of activities which will enhance the child's natural growth and development in line with Aistear and Síolta.
  • To ensure all quality and safety standards are always maintained in the service.
  • To build relationships with families and maintain effective communication.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A minimum of FETAC/QQI level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent DCEDIY-approved certification.
  • For Graduate Room Leader: minimum Level 7/8 degree in Early Childhood Education and Care and 3 years of experience.
  • Strong passion for the needs and development of the individual child.
  • Knowledge of child development

Hours: 40

Salary: 15-20 per hour (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Job Location: Delgany, Co. Wicklow

Qualification Level: Minimum QQI/Fetac Level 6, Minimum QQI/Fetac Level 7
