Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to service users, including feeding, washing, and dressing.
  • Plenty of shifts available, days and nights (12 hours) and twilights (18:00-00:00)
  • Report any notable activities or incidents to the person in charge.
  • Provide emotional support to service users.
  • 49 bed unit total - mainly long term stay, also has an 18 bed dementia ward

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 5 Qualification in Healthcare Support or an equivalent qualification or current employment as a Healthcare Assistant/Carer (6 months minimum, proof of employment required).
  • Need to be flexible to working on different wards throughout shifts
  • Needs to show initiative to help the team when needed
  • All vaccinations: Hepatitis B and Titre Level, MMR, Tuberculosis & Varicella.
  • Resident in Ireland and right to work in Ireland without restriction.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards others.
  • Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
  • Driving is advantageous but not essential
  • Candidates who have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16 will also need to hold International Police Clearance from that country(ies).
